The hot chocolate at Carette was rich, creamy and worth every penny.
On a recent trip to Europe, we had two days in Paris. We had lots planned in those two days. Sure all the sights but of course we had to include food in our itinerary.
I was influenced by all the photos and videos I had seen of the hot chocolate at Carette. It was a must-stop for me and so we headed there for breakfast after taking in a couple sights.
We went to the location by the Trocadero. We were expecting a line but we lucked out and there weren’t too many people in front of us. Parties of two were getting seated quicker than larger parties and we did have to wait for them to accommodate our party of four.
Once seated, I noticed that almost every table was enjoying the hot chocolate. We were all here for the same thing.
I ordered the hot chocolate, one that I never would have thought I would spend so much on. I can say though that it was worth it. The silver pot was filled with thick chocolate and then a bowl of whipping cream on the side, so you could add as much as your heart desired. I also ordered a buttery croissant, which tasted divine dipped in the luscious, rich chocolate.
Is it worth the hype? Definitely!
