5 Easy Chocolatey Homemade Gifts

December 11, 2018 By Fareen Leave a Comment

Here are 5 homemade treats that are perfect for gifting to your favourite people. Chocolate is involved!

Homemade Gifts

Is there anything more personal than a homemade gift? It’s easy to spend money and buy something from the store but if someone gives you something that they have made themselves, it’s so special.

Homemade gifts don’t have to be complicated. Here are 5 that are super easy and they involve chocolate.

Almond Bark

This has been a favourite since I was little. I remember my dad finding a recipe in the newspaper and trying it out at home. Only 2 ingredients make this delicious treat – chocolate chips and almonds. That’s it! Everything is made in the microwave so it’s even easy for little ones to help with this treat.

Almond Bark

Roast 1 cup of almonds in the microwave on high for 2 – 2.5 minutes. Melt 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave at 30 second intervals. Once melted, add the nuts and spread out on to parchment. Break into pieces and wrap. If you want to add a touch of saltiness, sprinkle with Maldon salt.

Chocolate Coated Pretzel Sticks

This can’t get any easier. Take a pretzel rod, dip in melted chocolate and top with sprinkles. Super easy and so festive.

Candy Coated Pretzels

Melt 1/2 cup of chocolate wafers in the microwave on high in 30 second intervals. Once melted, dip the pretzel rods and top with sprinkles.

Candy Cane Popcorn

For the popcorn lover in your life. Make some popcorn, drizzle with chocolate and top with crushed candy canes. Can it get any easier? Click here to check out the recipe.

Pecan Crack

This one is always a hit. Made with saltines and topped with caramel and chocolate and pecans. It’s very addictive, as you can tell from the name. Click here to check out the recipe.

Malteser Skor Bars

If you have a Skor or Malteser lover in your life, you need to make these bars. These Malteser Skor bars are heavenly. The addition of Maltesers to the already delicious Skor bars take it to a whole new level. Click here to check out the recipe.
