The Loft Lounge at Granary Road has extended their summer hours on Friday and Saturday nights. Hubby and I enjoyed dinner there this past weekend and it was great going to their after the market had closed.
Granary Road closes at 5:30 but on Fridays and Saturdays, The Loft Lounge is open until 8. That means, even more of an opportunity to check out their Canadiana fare and enjoy award winning beers, wine and hand-crafted cocktails. It was a different vibe being in the space when the market was closed.

Hard to believe that it’s less than a month until the Calgary Stampede. It’s definitely one of the highlights of summer. The parade, the skyride, the games, the rides, but most importantly, the food! The list of Stampede eats was released a few days ago and it is a delicious one! The list offers savoury and sweet options as well as questionable ones that include crickets and kangaroo.

One of our favourite chocolatey treats has to be puffed wheat squares. These seem to be loved by most people. Little wheat puffs covered in chocolate and made into squares. So good! These are no-bake, so dangerous that they can be made in minutes.

I headed to Omo Teppan & Kitchen a few weeks ago with the boys for dinner. Z loves to pretend that he’s cooking like a Teppanyaki master and Q loves sushi so everyone was excited to check the place out.
Omo means hospitality and did they every live up to their name. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel right at home. The service was great, which is huge for me.
