These Malteser Skor bars are heavenly. The addition of Maltesers to the already delicious Skor bars take it to a whole new level. A delicious upgrade.
One of our favourite treats for the holidays are Skor bars. I discovered the recipe a couple years ago when my cousin made it for our Christmas party. We have since included it in our treat boxes and at parties and it has always been a hit. It’s something that I didn’t think could be improved. I was wrong.

One of our favourite things to go out for is dim sum. We just can’t get enough! Whether it be for breakfast or lunch, there’s lots to love about it. Like the small plates that make it easy to share. The affordability so you can try many dishes. And let’s not forget the most important – the tasty food.

A few weeks ago, hubby and I checked out the new 1918 Tap and Table located in the new Legion building in Kensington. It was a fun evening where we got to hear from Chef Chris Murphy while trying some bites of what they had to offer.

A couple weeks ago, the kids and I checked out the newest Via Cibo on 14th Street in Calgary. Known for Italian Street Food, Via Cibo serves authentic food using fresh, local ingredients.
Located a couple blocks from 17th Avenue, the place was quite large and had parking. A huge bonus when visiting a restaurant downtown during peak times. When we walked in, right away you notice the open kitchen where you can see your dishes being made.
Give me some good fries with a great dip and I am happy. The kids are the same so naturally we had to order the Tuscan Fries. The fries were topped with rosemary, sea salt and truffle oil and finished off with some Grana Padana cheese. They were so good and perfect to munch on while we caught up on our day.

I can’t believe I still haven’t shared details about the amazing dinner I had last month at Charcut. I had dinner seated between Chef Mark McEwan and Chef Connie DeSousa, both of Top Chef fame. Seriously.
The event was put on by Stoneleigh, a wine from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Through their partnership with Chef Mark McEwan, they are marrying the best of what both Canada and New Zealand have to offer.

I am thrilled that I discovered no churn ice cream last year. Creamy ice cream without having an ice cream maker? That’s one less appliance to buy, or in my case, one less appliance to borrow from my parents.
